About the video Stefanie Drootin-Senseney states:
"We honestly weren't sure we were going to be able to pull together this video. I was diagnosed with early breast cancer in October, and since then it's been a bit of a journey. I wasn't sure how this would all work with my daily radiation schedule, but Paige [Stark] and Lee came up to our neck of the woods in the northwest San Fernando Valley so I would be able to slip away in the middle of shooting. Spending the day with them was so lovely and easy, and watching their process and the way they found beautiful little moments in the place I grew up was inspiring. They captured an intimate, unguarded slice of our relationship, while also managing to create a story that perfectly complements the song.”
Director Paige Stark reflects:
“We chose to shoot on Super 8 film to show the immediacy and intimacy of these two people being in love on the road together, letting the handheld camera be the third party capturing private moments. We wanted it to feel like a home movie or an artifact of a tour. We shot on location in Chatsworth, California, where Stefanie is from and it gave the video an out-of-town, nostalgic Americana feel.”
