Happy 35th Anniversary to A Tribe Called Quest's The Low End Theory

Happy anniversary to A Tribe Called Quest's best album, The Low End Theory, which turns 35 today. 

This record is a personal favorite of RtBE's and the highlight of ATCQ career.  

From the opening bass notes of ""Excursions", The Low End Theory flows with grace and power. The music is propelled by the title low end, bass and drums, as things are stripped to essential sounds. 

A dynamite collection of tracks from Q-Tip, Phife (his coming out party) and all involved, this is an album that truly shines bright. Bringing on Ron Carter for the jazz vibe, Leaders of the New School for the classic album closing banger, "Scenario", everything just works out well. 

On a personal note RtBE has been having a lot of conversations on perfect 10 out of 10 albums lately. To these ears there have been very few, ever. Before going back to this album I stated I didn't think it was a perfect 10 but damn close, upon review, I am swayed. The exciting lyrical wordplay, the smooth jazz influenced sound, the infectious fun, the uniqueness of it's sound for it's time, The Low End Theory has it all, ten out of ten.
