New Single from Frank Migliorelli & The Dirt Nappers "Michigan"

The Hudson Valley based Frank Migliorelli & The Dirt Nappers have a new single out "Michigan". The song includes a guest appearance by Soozie Tyrell and Lisa Lowell, who now tour with Bruce Springsteen as part of the E-Street Band.

About the song Frank states:
“It actually started out as a quiet ballad. I was trying to reflect a bit on a place where I spent five years of my life and have a number of close friends and family-but when we started kicking it around in rehearsals, bassist Tony Tino (Music City) started pushing it in the direction of a Neil Young rocker-Once we started going there, it took on a powerful life of it’s own.”

The arrangement features a driving backbeat from drummer Tom Segusa (Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes) and a blistering back and forth exchange between guitarist Thad Debrock (Duncan Sheik, Judy Collins) and keyboard player Dan Weiss (Joan Osborne). It should be noted that background vocals also included Dirt Napper regular Sherryl Marshall- who along with Tyrell and Lowell were David Johansen/Buster Poindexter’s original “Hot, Hot, Hot!” Singers!
