Galactic Purchases Tipitina's

In some really cool news for the best music city in the country Tipitina's Uptown in New Orleans was just sold to the local funk band Galactic.

RtBE have written about, reviewed  their albums and seen Galactic a bunch and have also caught shows in the legendary venue as well.

It is nice to see the fantastic spot stay in local musicians hands (and foreheads).

To celebrate the band will be playing a New Years Eve show at the venue, but for our purposes here is the group rocking out on the stage back in 2010 performing "Gossip" with Cyril Neville:
