We search the murky back waters of youtube to find full concerts and post them to the site weekly, come back every seven days to help us celebrate Full Show Friday's. These shows are of varying quality and may not be here for long so enjoy them while you can...As always, please support the artist every which way, but especially by seeing them live (if they are still playing)...This week.. Phish!
For December 2020 RtBE are going to highlight the bands we can't wait to see when it it is safe to do so, hopefully in 2021. These are the bands we are looking forward to seeing the most.
When the lock down's and pandemic started RtBE fell into the Grateful Dead more than we had in years. Box sets, long forgotten shows, it all just struck a nerve and really eased the pain of the first few months of the pandemic in NYC.
When seasons changed we were drawn back into Phish more than we have been in years, kick started by one of our favorite streams during Covid-19 lockdown. For some reason over the last five years we had rarely put on the bands music which was so formative to the shaping of our love for live music. The pandemic changed that, with more down time came the rediscovery of how funky fall 97 was, how cool the icy grooves of 98-99 were and how amazingly inventive "Phish 2.0" truly was.
With New Years coming up this will be the first time in a very long time that we have not seen the band at least once in a calendar year. While Phish's most recent incarnation "3.0" hasn't grown on us very much during the pandemic the bands hey day ('97-'04) sounds even sweeter. We are past our days of touring with the band, but catching Phish live both indoor and outdoor whenever concerts resume is a must.

This is our final full show friday of 2020...good riddance to bad years.
