Guitar Solo Face, Reason Discovered!

In a hysterical post, The Crispy Duck over at Imgur created the perfect combination by melding great guitarists wailing...and Giant Slugs!

Guitar solo faces are funny, but when you are in the moment, you got no idea what the hell is going on. HD pics though and huge slimy beasts sure make a fun combo as Slash doesn't look so pleased up there and Springsteen looks like he wants to run far away below:

Two Young Girls Own Slayer

Thanks to Glen for Fwd'ing this amazing video, something fun for your Humpday evening and musically amazing to boot. What is more metal then a 10 year old girl and her little sister completely destroying Slayer's "War Ensemble":

I had a conversation with a friend about Rocksmith, and I wonder if any of the guitar playing would be retained outside of the game, but that is just being a jerk when it comes Audrey and Crazy Kate. Who really cares about hypothetical when who you can watch the playing and screaming of these girls. Super great.

Phish & Bieber?!?!?

For the first time in maybe ever I am at a loss for words...Read this.

Man that is just strange all over.  I guess Biebers band and "musical director" have been trying to turn him onto Phish and other artists for sometime now...it is really weird.  Perhaps the oddest line in that pulpy article was this:

According to photographer Jeff Kravitz, they found common ground in talking music, of course, and also in singing the praises of Phish's revered lighting director Chris Kuroda, who will be designing Bieber's next tour.

That's right, CK5 will be doing lights for Justin Bieber and 12 year old girls all around the world...here's hoping someone doses all of them...I mean this guy is doing lights:

Friday Funday - Funky Lucille Ball?!? Who knew?!?

Thanks to Bob Kosovsky's great blog post over at NYPL regarding Lucille Ball earlier this week I was turned on to some bizarre disco/funky stuff...

Turns out someone made the "I Love Lucy" theme into a funky disco throwdown...Granted this is before my time and I must confess I never really watched the show, but this re-imaging of the theme song was just too weird not to share...
There is a cool "chicky-wah-wah" break at 2 minutes that makes the song get groovier then all get up and worth checking out.  The video itself (or whiteboy7931 who posted it I should say) types up some facts regarding the song (in a very annoying way), such as billboard placement and that Trevor Lawrence played Woodstock and did a few tours with The Rolling Stones.  Informative and funky, get in there and shake it down on this Friday.

Friday Funday - Mariachi Band & Dancing Whale

Thanks to Vince over at Film Drunk, I saw this whacky/super cute video and had to share it with all...


Yup that's a Mariachi Band Los Trovadores de America serenading a Beluga Whale Juno from Mystic Connecticut who really looks to be enjoying either the sound/vibrations/visuals of the crew....or maybe he is waiting for them to break out the fish tacos.  Either way enjoy the video...and Enjoy yer weekend.

Friday Funday: Funny RIP Leslie Nielsen

I can't overlook the death of a man that I find hysterical, gotta give it up to my main man Leslie Nielsen.

Keeyrist as Jason pointed out I even saw Spy Hard in the theater.
I think me and my dad were the only two who did!

Anyway Leslie will be missed, even if his later movies were ummm iffy  (excluding the scrumptious Diora Baird of course).  Take a moment and laugh out loud...I am serious, and stop thinking about that Shirley line.
This has to be one of my favorite moments in film...so classic....Bingo!
