We have never been to SXSW and while it may be in the cards for future years, 2015 continues the trend of us passing on attending. However, RtBE and you non Austin travelers do not have to miss out on the Panel Talks or Performances because the internet is awesome:
You can go to SXSW ON and get video streams of talks and shows. Not just the little bars and bands either, one of RtBE's favorites Spoon will be playing tonight at 8pm CDT, pretty damn Boosh. Now all you need is a case of Shiner Bock and you will be good to go.
For those of us who can't make it south this is a pretty great alternative, we will def be watching the band we rated as having the 2nd best album of 2014 tonight. Until then lets peep a quick live video of them premiering a song on NPR live in NYC at Le Poisson Rogue:

Live Review: The Wolfe Tones 3/14/13 Connolly's NYC
Hey All,
Got a new review up on Glide.
Read the whole thing Right C'here!!!
It is of The Wolfe Tones Pre-St. Paddy's show from Connolly's here in NYC on 3/14/13.
What a great night of drinking and singing! Got to hang out with some great long time friends and a few new ones as the Trio ran through the classic Irish Rebel Folk songs. Gotta say though my boy Ed was singing along with the best of them!
Having grown up with these tunes it was exhilarating to hear them live on this night. For admittedly older folks, it was impressive how long and strong the boys performed on this night with no breaks.
Any song you could have wanted to hear was played as long as you stuck around. Even after the show the band signed autographs, posed for pictures and just couldn't be kinder; and we are talking past 1 in the AM now!
Fine gents who deserve all the love they can get. Support the trio here, catch them live here and listen to a few tunes below.
"Celtic Symphony"
"You'll Never Beat The Irish"
"Rifles Of The IRA"

Glide Review - Dropkick Murphys Going Out In Style
Hey boy'o's and lasses
Got a new review up on Glide,
Read it right C'here!!!
It is of Dropkick Murphys newest release, Going Out In Style.
This is a solid album, on my personal list of American Irish Groups, Dropkicks have always been towards the middle, not the best, surely not the worst. While they have been heavier in the past and far funnier this just may be their best overall album and one I will certainly go back to. Pipes, Rock, Charm...the album has it all.
If you are a fan of their brand of Boston Beer scented pub rock or just want to check them out, this is a good album to grab, so pick it up.
Here are some samples:
The Fantastic Title Track, "Going Out In Style"
I love "Peg O' My Heart", and The Boss showing up is just an added bonus:
And here's the group talking about recording it, pretty cool:
