RtBE has reviewed King for a few records now and this is our least favorite. Mood Swings was an interesting change, making our favorites of 2024 list, while the solid Youngblood did the same in 2022.
Darling Blue isn't bad by any stretch, just much more focused on country/Americana and just not as exciting as his past efforts. That is just one man's opinion though.
