Neil Young Bluenote Cafe From 87-88 Set for Release

The next release in Neil Young's Performance Series comes from an era in his career that has never really been represented well on record. For reference his Wikipedia entry states that from 80-88 were his "experimental years", before the fantastic Freedom put him back in the national spotlight. Coming November 13th we will see the release of Bluenote Cafe
As fans of the man, but far from die-hards, we are very excited to hear this release and hope to grab the vinyl when it is out. Neil is an artist that notoriously follows the muse, we don't like a lot of his music, but what we've heard from around this period, specifically this bootleg, and the Eldorado EP are really solid, Eldorado in particular we go back to often.

The press release including the full track listing of Bluenote Cafe is below as is "Crime In The City" officially released from the album in advance. If you want more info Thrasher Wheat is the best site for Uncle Neil news.
