New Album From Drive By Truckers Coming in June, Welcome 2 Club XIII

One of RtBE's favorite bands are releasing a new album in June as the Drive-By Truckers deliver Welcome 2 Club XIII.

The album is a homage to the venue where main truckers Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley started their career in the band Adam's House Cat. RtBE loved both of their last two albums they recently released, ranking both high in our 2020 year end review

The new one features background vocals from Margo Price, Schaefer Llana, and R.E.M.’s Mike Mills and as big fans RtBE are really looking forward to this album. Here is a video preview:

  1. It follows The Unraveling and The New OK, two albums released in 2020 by Drive-By Truckers. The new album takes its name from a location where founding members Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley performed at the outset of their careers.

  2. In the wryly nostalgic trip "Welcome 2 Club XII," Drive-By Truckers recall their early days as a bar band — under the name Adam's House Cat. It's a song torn from the pages of their own experience, when Patterson Hood and Mike Cooley struggled to keep the attention of hair-metal fans during bad opening-slot gigs.
