Happy Opening Day!

I see great things in baseball.  It's our game - the American game.  It will take our people out-of-doors, fill them with oxygen, give them a larger physical stoicism.  Tend to relieve us from being a nervous, dyspeptic set.  Repair these losses, and be a blessing to us.

(Somehow this post got lost, but here it is) Like last year, the year before, the year before that, the year before, the year before that we wish you a Happy Opening Day!

Opening Day should be a national holiday, plain and simple. The Mets kick off on Sunday, but tomorrow is the real opening day. Winter is gone (at least officially) and  Baseball can not come soon enough. Here's hoping your favorite team wins, unless you're a Nats fan, let's go Mets!

Who knows, maybe it is the Cubbies year. We know the ghost of Steve Goodman is rooting for them.
