Behold the Serpent is a pure doom song that stands out from the rest of the songs on the album. It's the heaviest song on the album and might even be the heaviest song we've written so far."
The tune has heavy splashes of Black Sabbath and Sleep as the metal lumbers forward with labored pounding, before a mid song break finds a light, warbling guitar floating above the rumbling drums. The crushing conclusion gets heads banging to close.
