In this ongoing Monday Series we will be exploring various artists versions of Bob Dylan song's. Today's tune is a cover by UNDER MÅNEN playing "Scarlet Town"
While RtBE aren't huge fans of Tempest and "Scarlet Town" is dull on the album, repeating the musical phrases over and over again, it doesn't mean it is all bad, this is Bob Dylan after all. Bob and the band have revived the track somewhat on stage, injecting the song with life and have delivered some great live versions since it's release. This evolution also makes it ripe for artists to put their own stamp on the longer blues based tune with cryptic lyrics and a slow beat.

Thoughts on Cover:
It is a sparse folk/jazz take that works well with mandolin, acoustic guitars, tambourine's and light percussion. Soothing yet spooky, a solid stripped down reworking of the original.
