Dylan Cover #599 Yopi and Lotta "One More Cup Of Coffee" Live

In this ongoing Monday Series we will be exploring various artists versions of Bob Dylan song's. Today's tune is a live cover from Yopi and Lotta and it is a version of "One More Cup Of Coffee"

Thoughts on Dylan Original:
From the first time we tackled a cover of this tune:
Bob's story tunes seemed to crest on Desire and "One More Cup Of Coffee" fits in the Western/Biblical/Mystical motif of both "Isis" and "Romance In Durango" but puts fourth a more ominous feel than either. Singing with Emmylou Harris on the original recording a haunting combo of voices which gets along perfectly with violins and other rag tag players from the sessions. A damn good song.

Thoughts on Cover Artist:
RtBE's first time hearing Yopi and Lotta from Yopi's website:

Yopi Jay, Singer-/Songwriter, chant circle singer and sacred-song keeper, has been following the devotional path of Bhakti Yoga with his music for several years. Based in Cologne (Germany) he has been playing kirtan & chant circles all around Germany and Europe. Together with violin player Lotta Corradini and fellow musicians Yopi & Lotta have released an album with sacred world music, named „Namasté Pachamama“. Since 2021 Yopi, Lotta and the Indian Tabla Master Debasish Bhattacharjee have started a new album project named "Corazon del Mundo". Their songs invoke the sentiment of devotion and dedication to a higher consciousness, of Love and Oneness.

Together with the people Yopi sings Bhajans and Kirtan from ancient India, Medicine Songs from South America and Sacred Chants from other parts of the world and in various languages. Wherever he plays his voice and music have the ability to open hearts and make people sing along.

Thoughts on Cover:
A very nice cover, that is fairly straight ahead with acoustic guitar, violin and male/female vocals. A pleasant way to start the week.
