It is of Yola's NYC debut last Wednesday Night at Rockwood Music Hall in Manhattan.
We covered almost everything there is to say in the piece, but this felt much more like an industry showcase as opposed to a show. Not that it is a bad thing, but perhaps it was the early set time or the groups of people who knew each other, or short set had a different feel then most shows.
Yola is a dynamic singer though who will certainly be making a name for herself very shortly.
