Live Streams: Denver Bluegrass Allstars

With live music on lock down (like everything else currently in New York City) live streams and old concerts have become essential for live music junkies like RtBE. While this current state of pandemic separation is in order we will highlight various shows/streams/virtual events for your viewing and listening pleasure and you can always check out or weekly Full Show Friday series for concerts from the past. Please support the artists any which way you can.

Today we highlight: Denver Bluegrass Allstars

Some great bluegrass picking going on tonight in Denver:

Honored to be part of this online event next Fri. Bluegrass music would not exist without the inspiration of Arnold Schultz, a former slave who lived in Rosine, KY & coached Bill Monroe during his formative years. To help kickstart the IBMA Arnold Schultz Fund, which promotes diversity & cultural education in Bluegrass, we bring you a collaboration of Denver-based musicians @phoffmanmusic, @AndyHallmusic, @tradplus, @greggarrisonbass, who'll come together at @mightyfinestudios for a 90-minute livestream, 6/26 at 7p MT (9PM Eastern). The stream will be available to view on @nugsnet and is being made possible by our friends at @upslope. It will be free to view with a percentage of funds raised going straight to help kickstart this fund. To get in the mood here is Paul Hoffman from  Greensky Bluegrass whose most recent album All For Money was one of our favorites from 2019. Hoffman is covering The Grateful Dead's "Black Muddy River", perhaps he will play that as part of tonight's broadcast:
