Dylan Cover #461 Chris Potter Underground "It Ain't Me Babe" Live

In this ongoing Monday Series we will be exploring various artists versions of Bob Dylan song's. Today's tune is a live cover by Chris Potter Underground playing "It Ain't Me, Babe"

Jazzy January
has invade Mondays! All this month we will check out various artists covering Dylan with a jazz vibe.
Thoughts on Original:
From the first time we tackled a cover of this song:
One of the best Dylan songs because it is universal, to the point, lyrical, smirking, self-centered and a perfect statement. Dylan has written lots of songs that can be covered well (as evident by this series) but "It Ain't Me, Babe" fits perhaps better than almost any other one into a huge variety of styles. That is because we have all been in the singers position one time or another...and it is a damn good song.

Thoughts on Cover Artist:
This is RtBE's first time hearing the Chris Potter Underground

Thoughts on Cover:
The tune that kicks off our Jazzy January focus on Dylan tunes.  Different and adventurous, we dig it even without the best recording. The band are Chris Potter bass clarinet and tenor sax, Craig Taborn on Fender Rhodes, Adam Rogers on Guitar and Nate Smith on Drums.
