Album Review: Turkuaz - Life In the City

It is of the colorful jam band Turkuaz and their most recent studio album Life In the City.

RtBE has discussed this before a few times, but when a record or a song reminds so much of another BETTER record or song it can be tough to really enjoy the lesser effort.

Unfortunately right from the start Life In the City recalled one of our favorite records of all time, Remain In The Light by The Talking Heads. They worked directly with a Head as Jerry Harrison produced some of the tracks on the album.

The group are clearly talented and when they are in the live moment most fans won't care but as a studio stand alone release it is hard to give it a ton of love when I wanted to hear Remain In The Light (or even "Eminence Front") after songs ended.
