Live Streams: BO DOLLIS JR & THE WILD MAGNOLIAS

With live music on lock down (like everything else currently in New York City) live streams and old concerts have become essential for live music junkies like RtBE. While this current state of pandemic separation is in order we will highlight various shows/streams/virtual events for your viewing and listening pleasure and you can always check out or weekly Full Show Friday series for concerts from the past. Please support the artists any which way you can.

Today we highlight: BO DOLLIS JR & THE WILD MAGNOLIAS

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡' 𝗜𝗡 𝗛𝗢𝗧 🔥 BO DOLLIS JR & THE WILD MAGNOLIAS 🎉 THIS FRIDAY at 7PM CST Link in bio to watch! ☝️ 𝗗𝗢𝗡'𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗔 𝗟𝗜𝗟 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘. 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗔 𝗧𝗜𝗣 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗗 @bo_dollis_jr_ 's entire life has been shaped and spurred by Mardi Gras Indian Culture. He masked for the first time at the age of ten, though his parents, Big Queen Laurita Dollis and the late Bo Dollis, Sr., Big Chief of the Wild Magnolias, wanted him to wait a few more years before he participated fully. Determined to mask, Bo Jr. managed to get his mother’s attention in that regard when he destroyed one of her beaded purses and starting sewing on his own. No one could hold him back after that bold and decisive move, and young Bo took his first steps towards becoming a Big chief. Watch them this Friday at 7pm CST on FB live or our website (link in bio).

RtBE loves the original Wild Magnolia records from the mid 70's and have yet to catch Bo Jr. and his live act so we are pumped. To get in the mood for the funky Mardi Gras Indians here is the outfit live from Jazzfest:
