Just found out one of RtBE's favorites is putting out a new album with a new band (with some old friends) and has a tour on the horizon.
Thurston Moore has announced a new group that he will be playing with later this month in Amsterdam. The band will consist of his Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley, My Bloody Valentine's bassist Debbie Googe and instrumentalist James Sedwards.
I am not sure what this does for the future of Chelsea Light Moving, but it is always exciting when Moore is coming out with new music, here is the first new song:
Sounds like a Thurston song, very in his wheelhouse which is fine by us. The new disk should be out in September titled The Best Day. Here is a video with some new songs with the group playing live this past March.
Looking forward to his new disk. Never can have enough Thurston.
